Description
Ceroxylon peruvianum (also called Peruvian Wax Palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to the Andes of Peru. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 15 m tall. It has a single trunk and a crown of pinnate leaves. The trunk is covered with a white, waxy coating, giving it its common name. It grows in humid montane forests, at altitudes of 1,500-2,500 m.
