Calamus trachycoleus (also called Rattan, among many other common names) is a species of climbing palm native to India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It is a slender, spiny, climbing palm with a greyish-brown stem and large, glossy, dark green leaves. It is found in tropical rainforests, swamps, and mangroves.
