Description
Calamus manglaensis (also called Mangla Calamus, among many other common names) is a species of palm native to Southeast Asia. It is a slender palm, growing up to 10 m tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 10 cm. Its native regions are in Thailand, and it is found in lowland tropical moist forest habitats.
Uses & Benefits
Calamus manglaensis is used for medicinal purposes, as well as for weaving baskets and mats. Its leaves are also used as a source of food for livestock.
