Astrocaryum faranae (also called Farana's Palm, among many other common names) is a small palm tree native to the Amazon rainforest. It has a slender trunk and a crown of up to 4 meters in diameter. It grows in moist, sandy soils and is often found in riverbanks and floodplains.
