Description

Dracontium peruvianum (also called Peruvian Arum, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Araceae family. It is native to Central America and South America, where it is found in wet lowland forests. It is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial growing to 0.3–1 m tall, with a single, large, heart-shaped leaf up to 1 m long.

Dracontium peruvianum is used as an ornamental plant in gardens, as it produces attractive white-pink flowers. It is also used as an ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine.
