Description
Anthurium verapazense (also called Verapaz Anthurium, among many other common names) is a small, evergreen, perennial herb found in Central and South America. It has a single, heart-shaped leaf that grows up to 15 cm long and a single, small flower with a white or yellowish-green spathe. It is found in moist, shady habitats, such as rainforests and cloud forests.
Cultivation and Propagation
Anthurium verapazense can be propagated by division or tissue culture. It prefers a warm, humid environment with bright indirect light and a well-draining soil mix. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Fertilize monthly during the growing season.
