Description
Amorphophallus symonianus (also called Symon's Skunk Cabbage, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to North America. It grows in moist woods, swamps, and along streams, and has large, heart-shaped leaves and a tall, yellowish-green flower spike.
Cultivation and Propagation
Amorphophallus symonianus can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained, sandy soil and kept moist. Division should be done in early spring or fall. Plants should be spaced about 1-2 feet apart.
