Alocasia scalprum (also called Elephant Ear, African Mask Plant, and Jewel Alocasia, among many other common names) is a tropical perennial plant native to Southeast Asia. It has large, arrow-shaped leaves with wavy edges and a glossy, deep green color. It grows best in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.
