Cultivation and Propagation

Polyalthia sessiliflora is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach up to 10 feet in height. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Propagation is best done by cuttings or layering. Cuttings should be taken in the spring or summer and planted in a well-draining potting mix. Layering can be done by burying a branch in the soil and allowing it to root. Once the roots have formed, the branch can be cut off and planted in a pot.
