Annona cherimola (also called cherimoya, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Annonaceae family. It is a small tree, growing up to 8 m tall. It is native to tropical America, from Mexico south to Bolivia. It grows in evergreen and semi-deciduous forests, and is often found in secondary forests.
