Description

Allium saxatile (also called 'Rocky Onion', among many other common names) is a flowering plant of the Amaryllidaceae family. It is native to Central Asia and the Caucasus, and is found in dry meadows and rocky slopes. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a flowering stem that can reach up to 40 cm in height. The flowers are white or pink and the bulbs are small and round.
