Description

Saurauia laevigata (also called 'Smooth Sauropus', among many other common names) is a small evergreen tree or shrub, native to India, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar. It grows up to 10 m tall and has simple, alternate, leathery leaves. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests and montane forests.
