Ruellia gruicollis (also called Gruicollis Wild Petunia, among many other common names) is a small, perennial herbaceous plant native to Mexico and Central America. It has a sprawling habit and grows up to 40 cm tall. Its leaves are ovate to lanceolate and its flowers are white with purple veins. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and can be found in grasslands, woodlands and disturbed areas.
