Description
Justicia nana (also called Dwarf Water Willow, among many other common names) is a small, perennial herb native to tropical and subtropical regions of South America. It has narrow, lanceolate leaves and small, white flowers. It grows in wet areas, such as along streams, in marshes, and in wet meadows.

Justicia nana has white flowers with yellow centers, small black seeds, and small seedlings with oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Justicia nana is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 1m in height. It is native to South Africa and is hardy to USDA zone 9. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring or early summer in a cold frame. Cuttings should be taken in late summer or early autumn and rooted in a cold frame.
