Description
Justicia ekakusuma (also called 'Ekakusuma Justicia' or 'Ekakusuma Shrimp Plant', among many other common names) is a shrub-like perennial with long, thin, bright green leaves. It is native to Mexico, Central America, and South America, and is found in tropical and subtropical climates. It grows best in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade.

Justicia ekakusuma has white flowers with yellow centers and small, black seeds. The seedlings are small, dark green and have a rounded shape.
Cultivation and Propagation
Justicia ekakusuma is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach up to 6 feet in height. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Propagation is best done by cuttings in the spring or early summer. Take 3-4 inch cuttings and dip them in rooting hormone before planting in moist potting soil.
