Aphelandra xanthantha (also called Xanthantha Aphelandra, among many other common names) is a tropical evergreen shrub native to Central and South America. It has large, oval leaves with white veins and yellow-green bracts. It grows best in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade and is often found in tropical rainforests and humid areas.

Cultivation and Propagation
Aphelandra xanthantha can be propagated by division of the rhizomes or by stem cuttings. It prefers a well-drained, moist soil and partial shade. It is best grown in a container with a soil mix of equal parts of peat moss, sand, and perlite. It should be fertilized monthly with a balanced fertilizer.
