Russia: “Field Day 2023″ will be held in Tomsk region

News summary: a forum promoting agricultural technology and reviewing gains in oilseed/cereal propagation in Russian agriculture will take place in the Tomsk region of Siberia this August.

The interregional agro-forum “Field Day” will be held from August 8 to 9. More than three hundred guests and experts from the Tomsk region and other regions of Russia are expected to arrive.

Crop growers, representatives of scientific institutions, companies developing technological solutions for agro-industrial complex, manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and equipment for agriculture, alongside public and commercial organizations in the field of agriculture will take part in seminars, excursions and conferences during the forum.  

Roman Nekrasov, Director of the Department of Plant Production, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and Mikhail Ovcharenko, President of the Board of NP National Agrochemical Union, will be the guests of honor.

On the first day the participants will visit the branch of FGBU “Gossortkomissiya” in the Tomsk region (village Klyuchi) and the demonstration fields of the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and Peat and LLC “Siberian Grain” (near the village of Luchanovo). They will also visit the seed center AF “Mezheninovskaya” in the village of Naschekovo and areas of production testing of oilseeds and cereals.

On the second day of the agro-forum the guests will gather in the rural park “Okolitsa,” where the exhibition “Technological Sovereignty” will be held, where new agricultural machinery and modern achievements of the agro-industrial complex will be presented.  The conference “Ensuring Technological Sovereignty in Agriculture” will also be held here, where participants will discuss current problems and key aspects of the industry’s development.
