Country singer and songwriter Luke Bryan will again this year headline his Farm Tour as he trots around 5 farm arenas giving back to local farmers who formed most of his early life.
The Farm Tour has been held since 2009 when Bryan kick-started a tradition that was to connect with American farmers and more so recognize their valuable contribution to the society. Bryan took to social media to announce this year’s Farm Tour by saying, “It’s my favorite time of the year” .
The 2023 Farm Tour will take place amidst Bryan’s 2023 Country on Tour, with a much more country outlook as opposed to the big city amphitheaters. Farm tours have always been about a show of affection amongst farming communities and helping feed needy Americans. Bryan has always intimated that the concerts hold a special place in his heart.
Since 2009 when the Farm Tour kicked off, Bryan has granted 78 scholarships to farming families’ students to have the much needed education in their local college and university just around the tour stops.
Food, money and resources to numerous local community members and nationalities have been donated for several years under this initiative. Most notable has been Bayer which continues to enjoy a wonderful partnership with the Farm Tour and last year alone provided one million meals to Feeding America. Farmland donated a truckload of protein to local food banks along with $9,000 to each state’s FFA Association. This was accentuated by Fendt who donated $25,000 to the FFA organization.
The partnership with Bayer, which is one of the thought leaders in the life sciences industry will be dubbed #HereToTheFarmerCampaign and Bayer’s pledge is one million meals to the needy people through Feeding America. Bayer’s partnership with Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour began way back in 2015 and has provided a remarkable six million meals plus a considerable sum of money has been dedicated towards Feeding America members. This has been done in the cities on the Tour route.
In an interview last year, Bryan was quoted to have said that the average American farmer has to dig deep in ensuring surviving hard times especially with the rising diesel prices and the cost of purchasing land.
