The first Agriculture Week Kyushu will be held for three days starting May 24 in Kumamoto, Japan. Japanese exhibitor RX Japan will host the “1st Agriculture Week Kyushu” at Grand Messe Kumamoto for three days, starting May 24.

RX Japan is the largest exhibition organizer in Japan, holding 96 exhibitions in 35 sectors annually. Agriculture Week, which RX Japan has been holding since 2011 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan, is Japan’s largest specialized agriculture and livestock exhibition, featuring products and services from Japan, Korea, and other countries around the world that can reduce and streamline agricultural labor.

Kyushu is one of Japan’s leading agricultural producers, and the event, which is being held in Kumamoto, which is easily accessible from all over Kyushu, is expected to attract a large number of agricultural stakeholders from the region. The organizers expect 300 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors.

According to the organizers, the Grand Messe Kumamoto, where the exhibition will be held, is capable of hosting large-scale outdoor exhibitions as well as indoor exhibitions. The spacious grounds will be used to demonstrate the operation of agricultural machinery and drones, as well as large-scale agricultural machinery and house exhibitions.

Meanwhile, Kyushu’s agricultural output is valued at 1.7 trillion yen, accounting for about 20% of the national output. This is quite high considering the total land area and employment rate of 10%. Specifically, it is 700 billion yen for field farming, 800 billion yen for livestock farming, and 160 billion yen for Japanese rice farming.
