FOGGIA – Two weeks after the last quotations on March 15, the price of Italian durum wheat plummets at the Foggia Commodity Exchange, in the session of Wednesday, March 29, 2023. The drop was as much as 30 euros per ton.
Compared to the end of June 2022, the price of durum wheat lost a third of its value, going from 580 euros to 390 euros per ton. It is always only the farmers who lose out.
The price of the UP (Union Pacific) wheat drops to 390-395 euros/t. (it was 420-425 euros on March 15; 425-430 euros/t. on 8.3.23 as on March 1; it was 420-425 euros/t. on15.2.23 and 8.2.23; it was at 435-440 euros/t. on February 1st.
Also decreasing is the MERCANTILE GOOD at 380-383 euros/t. (It was 410-413 euros per tonne, on 15.3.2023; at 415-418 euros per tonne on 8.3.23, and also on 1 March 2023; while it was at 410-413 euros per tonne. on15.2.23 and 8.2.23; On 1st February, 2023, it was at 425-428 euros/t.
The MERCANTILE wheat arrives at 370-373 euros/t. (it was at 400-403 euros/t., on March 15; at 405-408 euros/t. on 8.3.23; like on 1.3.23; On 22.2.23, it was at 400-403 euros/t., while it was at 415-418 euros/t. on 1.2.23.
The ORGANIC wheat also falls: the price drops to 410-415 euros/t. (it was at 440-445 euros/t., on 15.3 as well as 8.3.23 and 1.3.23; it was at 435-440 euros/t on 22.2.23, the same value as 8.2.23; it was at 450-455 on 1.2.23; at 475-480 euros/t.
Among the Italian flours, the values of durum wheat semolina fall by 20 euros / t.
Wheat bran is on the rise this week: + 5 euros per ton for both farinaccio, diced minced mince and bran.
